Tracking memberships and managing event logistics used to mean endless paper trails and uncertainty. For Michael Finegold, Webmaster at Upper Cape Ski Club, not knowing who had responded or paid for an event made planning harder than it needed to be.
The nonprofit ski club needed an easier way to communicate with members efficiently and see everything in one place. Its manual processes were taking too much time and leaving the board without a clear picture of where things stood.
When Upper Cape Ski Club switched to WildApricot, communication became much simpler.
“WildApricot continues to innovate and refine its product,” says Finegold. “This allows me to easily reach out to our members to inform them of the opportunities that exist for them in our club.”
Members have responded positively overall, and the club is listening when questions come up. For example, some members have needed more clarity around the event payment process, giving Finegold and the board an opportunity to make the experience even easier.
No More Paper Trails
Before WildApricot, every event came with the same questions: Who signed up? Who already paid? Without one place to find those answers, keeping track of the details meant sorting paperwork and piecing the information together manually.
Now, Finegold can see who has registered for an event and which payments are still pending, all in one place. Instead of chasing down details he has a much clearer view of each event and what still needs his attention.
Membership tracking has become easier too, giving the club a simpler way to manage its growing community without adding more paperwork along the way.
More Members, More Participation
Since making the switch, Upper Cape Ski Club has seen its membership grow along with event participation per member. As more people get involved, having a smoother process behind the scenes helps the club keep up.
Everyday tasks that once required extra steps can now be handled more quickly, leaving Fitzgerald and the board with more time to communicate with members and plan the experiences that keep them coming back.
Planning for Even More Growth
With membership and participation moving in the right direction, Upper Ski Club is already thinking about what comes next. The club has set a goal of reaching 350 members within the next two years.
That growth will bring more registrations, payments, and member communication to manage. With a system already in place to support those responsibilities, the club can work toward its goal without bringing back the paper trails it left behind.
“WildApricot has truly been a game changer for our club,” says Finegold. “WildApricot has been a reliable technology partner for our nonprofit, enabling us to build community and drive engagement effortlessly.”
