Nonprofit Blog Carnival Call for Submissions: Motivation for the Nonprofit Nation

Lori Halley 26 May 2015 1 comments

In June, I am hosting the Nonprofit Blog Carnival and looking for the best advice, ideas and tips about:

motivation for the nonprofit nation.

The idea for this theme came from a recent session of our Membership Advisory Group. One of the participants (a leadership volunteer at a small foundation) asked her membership and nonprofit peers for advice on:

"How can you get [people] to move from enthusiasm to real life action?"

It’s a great question, one that I’m sure most of the staff and volunteers of nonprofits, charities, clubs and associations are all facing.

So I decided to send out the call to the nonprofit community through the Nonprofit Blog Carnival. This way, we can crowdsource ideas, tips, success stories, solutions and advice on motivation from leading nonprofit bloggers or anyone else who wants to share and help out.

Want to help?  Submit your ideas to the June Nonprofit Blog Carnival!

Send in blog post submissions on any topic that relates to motivating non-profit donors, supporters, boards, volunteers, or staff.

Here are some topics to consider:

  • How do you motivate supporters to become active donors?
  • How do you motivate donors to move from one-time crowdfunding to committing to long-term goals?
  • How do you inspire and engage the new generation to “step up to the plate”?
  • How can you convert enthusiasm to action and motivate volunteers to meet their commitments?
  • How can you motivate volunteers to take on leadership roles?
  • How are you motivating your board members?
  • How do you get members to help you recruit more members or volunteers to recruit more volunteers?
  • Have you found some solutions or best practices for motivating your donors, board or volunteers at your nonprofit?
  • Do you have a motivation success story to share?
  • Last, but not least, what motivates you to contribute to your nonprofit?

Please share your motivational posts!

Here’s how you can submit your post to the Nonprofit Blog Carnival:

You can publish your blog post anytime during June (or submit a post you have previously published). But I must receive your submission by the end of the day on Thursday, June 25, 2015 for it to be included in the June round-up.

To submit, simply email the following information to nonprofitcarnival[at]gmail[dot]com (nonprofitcarnival@gmail.com)

  • Your name
  • The URL of your post
  • A two or three sentence summary of your post

Nonprofit Blog Carnival round-up will be published June 29th

The June 2015 Nonprofit Blog Carnival round-up will be published on Monday, June 29, 2015 right here on the Wild Apricot Blog.

Why contribute?
