3 Sessions In - Small Membership Advisory Community

We’re 3 sessions in! The first month of Wild Apricot’s Small Membership Advisory Community has been a huge success. (If you need to refresh your memory, here is the blog post introducing the group: Wanted: Industry Advisory Group Members.)

We’ve seen an incredible turnout. Thank you to all of those who have participated so far. Over conference calls, each session has had 10+ board members, executives, and volunteers in small associations, clubs and non-profits, with an average in-depth discussion time of 60 minutes.

The calls have delivered a fascinating spectrum of insight. Several best practices, mistakes to avoid and pieces of  actionable advice have been shared by industry experts and professionals in our sessions. Topics of discussion have included:

  • How to engage volunteers and employees
  • How to increase member retention
  • How to deal with board members who stall the organization’s progress
  • What kinds of tools to use to improve communication
  • How to delegate and execute organizational tasks
  • How to structure organizations to maximize results
  • What strategies to use to grow membership
  • And many more

Connecting you with your peers

We know first-hand how challenging it can be to run a small membership organization and we want to connect you with industry experts and professionals to help you and your organization succeed.

So along with our advisory community, we have also created a special forum to facilitate discussions. We will be posting new topics weekly and sharing expert tips and advice. If you have a question/topic you’d like to address, please post it for the community to respond to and discuss.

In the coming weeks, we will be posting recommendations and key insights from our focus group calls to the forum. Be on the lookout for this!

Want to join in?

If you are interested in participating in the Small Membership Advisory Community, please fill out this form. We will invite participants in order of signups as call sizes range from 10-12 participants.

Our goal is to help small associations, clubs and non-profits hurdle their biggest challenges. We would love for you to join us to see the difference a positive, supportive and intelligent community of advisors can make.

We’ve only scratched the surface.

    Hi Arleen!

Thank you for joining the group. Our next call is on June 12. We will be contacting people who signed-up on a first come, first serve basis as each call will have a maximum of 15 participants. We will be having weekly calls to ensure we get to as many people as possible.

In the meantime, be on the lookout for blog posts and participate in our Advisory Community forum!
