Wanted: Industry Advisory Group Members

Dmitriy Buterin 29 April 2014 2 comments

Would you like to participate in an industry advisory group for small associations, clubs and non-profits?

We’re looking for participants for a grassroots industry advisory group. It doesn’t matter if you are a Wild Apricot client or not. Your involvement and experience with small associations, clubs or non-profits is what counts to us.

Do you know first-hand how hard it is to run a small membership organization?

Are you passionate about helping others in the same situation and want to be an advocate for your industry?

If so, and you are a staff person, board member or long-term volunteer at a small association, club or non-profit – we hope you’ll read on and participate in our advisory group.

Why we’re launching an advisory group

This coming June we will be celebrating 8 years since we released the very first version of Wild Apricot software for small associations, clubs, charities and other non-profits.

We started our journey back in 2006 with an idea that there are hundreds of thousands of these organizations under-served by the technology industry. We decided to invest our time and money to build a platform to make your life easier, to help you focus on your passions and causes – while we provide affordable, easy to use technology to take care of mundane (but very important!) details.

We are enormously proud of what we have achieved since. We now have over 13,000 organizations running on Wild Apricot’s platform (including over 7000 paying subscribers).

We've been ranked the top membership management system for the past two years in a row. We have one of the most popular blogs in the non-profit industry with tens of thousands of people reading our blog posts, free articles and reports every month.

Yet, there is so much more we plan to do!

We are immensely grateful for the feedback we’ve received over the years about our product and services – every month we collect, read and reply to hundreds of surveys and discussion forum posts about the changes and enhancements we can make to save you more time, have you achieve more results. 2014 will be bring you our biggest ever product improvements so far - from our new website builder launched in Version 5, to our first mobile app and dozens of other enhancements we’re launching later in the year.

Digging deeper and making a difference in the lives of folks managing small membership organizations

And now we want to go deeper. Much deeper. We want to make a bigger difference in your lives.

We are looking to form an Industry Advisory Group – starting with a brainstorming session.

Here’s what we’re looking for - check to see if you qualify:

  • You have been involved for at least two years in a small association, club or non-profit
  • You know first-hand how hard it is to run an organization like this
  • You are passionate about helping others in the same situation and want to be an advocate for your industry
  • You want to make a difference
  • You are interested in interacting with other impressive people like yourself, your peers
You do NOT have to be a user of Wild Apricot or know our software. This will NOT be about the features of our software (your feedback on that is always welcome by our support team support@wildapricot.com and on our discussion forums).

How to sign up for our Advisory Group:

If you meet the criteria above and want to join in, please sign-up here.

Looking forward to our conversations!
