What's New in the Membership Knowledge Hub?

A few months back, we announced the launch of our Membership Knowledge Hub designed to provide in-depth, actionable resources for the staff, board members and volunteers of small membership organizations to help them with their new roles and day-to-day challenges.

We’ve recently added some great new resources to the Hub that you might want to check out:

New under “Communications for Membership and Non-profit:"

Wild Apricot developed this beginner’s guide for organizations just getting started on their social media journey. It offers: an introduction to the types of social media available; some guidance for how to get started; establish social media goals; and build your online presence.  This guide also includes a number of additional targeted resources.

There’s a new article the “Volunteers” category:

Are you becoming skeptical about the effectiveness of your committees? Perhaps it’s not the structure that’s lacking, but the need for “establishing some basic principles for committee effectiveness.”  This article, by Patricia Hudson of the Melos Institute, identifies some of the “inconvenient truths” about committees and offers strategies for effective committee development and management.

New for “Technology/Website:”

  • Search Engine Marketing For Associations and Non-profits
  • This is a great resource for organizations just getting started with or who want to know more about Search Engine Marketing. Written by Keith Holloway of Envoke (an engagement campaign software company that operates a consulting division focused on search marketing), this guide explains what Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is and how it can be used to increase your online visibility, target potential constituents and drive more visits to your website.
