4 Ways to Orient New Wild Apricot Users

Lori Halley 20 January 2012 0 comments

Last week we offered some insight and ideas for new volunteer orientations. This week we’re offering some tips for helping you orient your new recruits to your Wild Apricot software.

Since each organization has unique needs and individuals also have their own preferred learning styles, we offer a number of resources to help your team learn about Wild Apricot – these include:

1. Start-up Guides:

We realize that some of your volunteers or staff may only use one of the modules in your Wild Apricot Membership Management software – e.g., he/she might be responsible for the membership database or may be in charge of events or fundraising.  That’s why we offer a number of online Start-up Guides including:

2. Webinars:

Each month we offer a number of live webinars offering an overview of the product as well as sessions that focus on specific modules, such as events or membership management. Webinars are great for folks who want someone to take them through a live demonstration and also offer the opportunity to ask questions. To find out webinar dates and topics, check out the Webinar schedule here.

In addition, we offer Webinar archives and transcripts of previously recorded Webinars that your new volunteers or staff can view or read at their convenience.

3. Video:

For your visual learners, we offer a number of videos that describe our software features, from a 15-Minute Software Overview Video to others that focus on individual modules or features, such as:

4. PowerPoint Presentation:

You can also download our PowerPoint presentation (37 slides, 2.8 MB download) as a way to introduce your colleagues to Wild Apricot.

Additional Support and Information:

If your new recruits have any specific questions they can also visit our Online Documentation area where they can search for online tools and help pages on specific topics.

In addition, you or your volunteers can always contact Wild Apricot for additional help:

We hope these resources help you orient your new team to your Wild Apricot Membership Management software.
