Social Media Round-up

Through our Wild Apricot Blog Reader Survey and comments to recent posts, we're hearing that our blog followers want more information on social media for membership and non-profit organizations. While some of us Wild Apricot bloggers are not social media experts, Rebecca Leaman, our Curious Apricot, has offered a lot of great information on social media for non-profits for our blog over the last two years. So we thought we'd offer a "Round-up" of blog posts that might be helpful for organizations just getting started with social media.

While some of these blog posts and presentations may be over a year old, the information is still pertinent, especially for those of you who are just beginning to dip your toes in the social media waters.

Wild Apricot Blog Posts:

All of these posts offer information and insight and often links to additional online resources:

There are lots of other blog posts you can check out - just search "social media" or "twitter" in the Wild Apricot Blog. You can also visit AssociationJam.org and search for other posts and articles on social media.

Social Media As Part of Your Communications/Engagement Strategy:

How about integrating any social media sites with a Wild Apricot site? Facebook Connect log in? Share Wild Apricot blog posting to linked Facebook Page and Twitter site? Autopost uploaded photos to Flickr, documents to Scribd (or at least allow embed code into Wild Apricot blog postings)? I would really like to have a Wild Apricot blog feature that linked up with social media sites.
