Toronto, ON June 1, 2010 -- Creating a professional association or other membership-based organization is a great way to build a new business or grow an existing one. To provide women entrepreneurs with advice and tools on forming their own membership organization, the Association of Women Entrepreneurs (www.AofWE.com) and Wild Apricot (www.wildapricot.com) are teaming up to launch the free webinar “Standing Out” Tuesday June 15, 2010, 3:30 pm. to 5 pm. eastern time.

Tera McHugh, founder of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Jay Moonah, VP of Marketing for Wild Apricot, the leader in association membership software for small associations and nonprofits, will discuss the low-cost website builder tools available for any professional seeking to launch a community of like-minded individuals for networking, education and support. The “Standing Out” webinar will also discuss ways professionals can differentiate their organizations in the marketplace.

McHugh, a consultant based in southern California, launched a small gathering of a dozen women in her community that has grown into the Association of Women Entrepreneurs, a national organization with nine affiliated groups throughout the U.S.

“The Association of Women Entrepreneurs is a business model based on educating and nurturing successful women in business,” said McHugh. “During our webinar, I’ll explain how I’ve been able to scale this model into a nationwide business because of Wild Apricot’s affordable association software,” she added.

McHugh will discuss tips to help entrepreneurs, life coaches, business professionals or mom’s groups start, run and lead a successful organization. She’ll also discuss how association software allows her to manage and market A of WE affiliated groups, in addition to growing membership, staging association events and staying in touch through association communications.

Jay Moonah will provide details on how low-cost, easy-to-use association software can help leaders and volunteers of professional women’s groups automate the administrative and communications tasks involved in building a membership-based organization and web site.

“We’re seeing an increasing number of professional business and life coaches using Wild Apricot software to grow their communities,” said Moonah. “Since Tera’s organization has experienced such explosive growth, we think our webinar will provide valuable advice on how other professionals can jumpstart their business or support an existing one,” he added.
