Behind the Scenes @ Wild Apricot: A short post for a short week

Lori Halley 10 March 2010 0 comments

Now, I know what you're thinking: Doesn't this normally come out on Friday? And isn't it much longer? And where are all the animal analogies.

Well, the answers are "Yes", "Yes", and "I'm trying not to make that a habit".

The reason for this is that I'm going to be on a mini break for the rest of this week and part of the next, which means I won't be in the office this Friday to sum up what's been going on here. Rather than leave you high and dry and in the dark and out of the loop, I'm going to write a small post this week.

Testing is starting to wrap up on a few of the new features, which means that they are in the final acceptance stage. We had a couple last week, and more are coming in every day. For an analyst such as myself this is similar to when I used to work on models  - I would take a look at the work that I had done and then consult against the picture on the box to make sure that I was capturing all the details. In this case, the model is the features that our developers are programming, and the picture is the user story we've written based on your feedback and suggestions.

Even in this short week, we've had a lot of traffic on the forums. Over the weekend there was some interesting discussions going on concerning these features:

On that note, I shall take my leave for the week. I'll be back next week with a full review of the week at Wild Apricot and more details as we get within shouting distance of our next release.
