I'm going on maternity leave!

This blog will be in good hands while I'm away, though.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to put a brief post on the blog about some exciting news and my upcoming time off. Yes ..it's true! I'm officially going on maternity leave for 1 year starting February 1st. My due date is February 14th and I am so looking forward to welcoming our first baby to our family. Wish me luck!

In the meantime, we have a new member to our Wild Apricot team lined up to continue with the blog - Rebecca Leaman. A freelance writer and editor, Rebecca enjoys working with a variety of nonprofits and community groups, as well as small businesses and the public sector, with a special emphasis on public education. Trained as a teacher, she began her career as a technical writer on environmental issues, refined her editing skills with a literary publisher, then spent a year "in the trenches" of a small nonprofit group as a fundraiser. We started working together in the last couple of weeks and I'm happy to say that this blog will be in good hands.

So keep reading and keep that subscription! I'll be back next year.

Congratulations, Soha! I hope you really enjoy the first year with your new baby. It goes so incredibly fast. I just had my first real conversation with my 22-month-old (it revolved around juice and the fact that Daddy had gone to the store) and I just couldn't believe it.

    Best wishes for your family!
