By Dmitriy Ivanov

For the past four years, we’ve been releasing updates under version 5 of WildApricot.

This month we released the latest version of WildApricot, version 6, launching us into a new era.

Going forward, you can expect to keep seeing improvements being made to WildApricot as we continue to launch new features and updates. I also think this is a good time to reflect back on everything that was launched under version 5.

In no particular order, here’s a brief summary of how we improved WildApricot over the last four years:

You can view our full release notes (and a history of version 5 releases) here.

For us, the launch of version 6 reflects our commitment to the long term — to make WildApricot the best membership management software on the market.

If you’d like to help us pick which features and updates to work on next, make sure to visit our Wishlist forum and vote for your favourite items.

Older Browsers Won't Support Online Payments After March 12, 2018

The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) has mandated that all credit card processors must retire version 1.0 of an encryption method called TLS (Transport Layer Security).

To comply with this directive, and ensure the highest standards of security and data integrity, WildApricot will stop supporting TLS versions 1.0 and 1.1 on March 12, 2018, but will continue to support TLS version 1.2. However, some older browser versions do not support TLS 1.2, so visitors to your WildApricot site may have to upgrade their browsers if they want to make payments on your site.

You’re Invited to the WildApricot User Conference

PersonifestAs a WildApricot customer, you're invited to our first ever WildApricot User Conference. We're hosting it in Austin, Texas, between April 8 - 10, and we'd love to see you there.

Our conference is part of PersoniFest, the annual conference hosted by Personify, our parent company. You might notice that Personify tends to create names that leverage their company name. They have a product called Personify360, another one called PersonifyGO and so naturally, their user conference is called PersoniFest.

Why should you attend PersoniFest, you might ask? It is a festival rich with customers, partners, and employees from Personify’s family of companies, including WildApricot. It is a great opportunity to learn, network, and have fun while ultimately enhancing what you and your organization can achieve with our products.

You are invited to join several hundred attendees and participate in the many informative sessions, including training sessions that provide CAE credits. The training alone makes the event worth attending.

You’ll also meet similar organizations and can learn from them, along with WildApricot partners who can assist you in implementation, digital marketing, SEO, website refreshes, setting up the online store, and many other systems needs you may have. The personal connections you’ll develop go a long way and this is the event to make that happen.

Every year, PersoniFest supports a local charity in the community hosting the event. Since Austin is the “Live Music Capital of the World,” this year we will support a local charity that helps struggling musicians get a chance at an album, concert tour, or other activity that exposes them to the world. That organization is and we’ll have many local musicians playing at the event.

We want to personally invite you to attend. We’re convinced you’ll get a lot out of it.
