Update from the Support Team
This month, we are sharing answers to frequently asked support questions.
How do I bulk update renewal dates?
You can bulk update renewal dates using the same importing/exporting approach you use to make other bulk changes to contact records.
-
Start by filtering your members list to display only those members you want to update.
-
Then, click the Export button to export the selected records to a spreadsheet.

-
On the Export dialog, adjust the export settings so that only the following fields are exported: User Id, Email, Renewal due.
-
Once you’ve generated the export file, open it in Excel (or any other spreadsheet program) and adjust the values in the Renewal due column.
-
Save your changes and import the spreadsheet file into WildApricot.
If you are warned about the membership level field not being mapped, leave the default option enabled (since this warning only applies to new records, not existing records) and click Next to proceed.

Can a lapsed member restore their membership?
Yes, a lapsed member can restore their membership at any time by paying the outstanding renewal fee. If you don’t want them to be able to do so, considering suspending lapsed members.
Why is there no Renew button on a member's profile?
The Renew button does not appear on a member’s profile if the member's status is Pending - Renewal. This status means that a renewal invoice has been automatically generated by the system or manually generated by the administrator, or that the member has already started the renewal but has not completed the payment.

In the first case, the member should click the renewal option within their renewal email notice to begin the renewal process. In the second case, the member should pay the outstanding membership fee to complete the renewal process.

Meet the Team: Shaquille Scott, Software Support Consultant

Hey there! My name is Shaquille. I am one of the new members of WildApricot’s technical support team. I have the pleasure of interacting with clients daily in my role. I enjoy the challenge that comes with tackling different issues and going above and beyond to provide a very personal and tailored technical support experience. I believe that our client's success is our success, and nothing is more rewarding than educating and learning together with the many wonderful people that utilize WildApricot to achieve their goals.
I am passionate about technology, and I love learning about its many applications in our day to day lives, both on a personal and professional level. I strongly believe in empowering those who find technology intimidating and I know that I have accomplished something special when the person that I am helping is exciting and engaged with the device or software that they were intimidated by only moments before we connected.
I am very passionate about music as it is my first love and I believe it transcends all languages. I’m very excited to be a part of this amazing team and I’m looking forward to seeing you in chat!
