  • Member directory loading slow

    With more members, we noticed that loading the member directory is getting slow. But when we checked AIMS website, their membership directory is even faster than ours, even though they have much more members than us. How come? How can we increase the loading speed? Thanks.

    how many members can be showed in the first page of member directory?  I didn't see any option for us to set up the number of members showed in the member directory page. I check AIMS, they show 100 members in the first page - that is too many for us since we select to show more info/data field in the member directory. Can we customize it and ...

    can we delete the ''Member directory listing text'' at Member public profile page? since I have set up one data field for members to describe this listing text. I don't need to show this ''Member directory listing text'' anymore at at Member public profile page. Can we do that?

    I have already set up my Member directory to default to advanced search.  When advanced search comes up it automatically has Name come up in criteria.  I need Member Category as my default.  I would also like a specific member category to be automatically checked.   My Membership directory consist of different types of ...

    This will be possible in our next release in mid-August (to set whether Keyword search or Advanced search should be default). For now you can find out a link to the Keyword search and insert that direct link to another page.

    Richard, in our tests your keyword search takes about 10-15 seconds to load. This is not ideal and we have plans to speed this up but I hope this is acceptable.

    Wild Apricot member directory has two views: Keyword search (searchable list) and Advanced search. Right now, Advanced search is the default view (we will make this selectable in the future). The reason your record does not show up (and no other records either) is because right now for every member record you have Show in member directory set to ...

    At the moment visitor has to run a search or switch to Keyword search (which lists all records) but we will make it customizable in the future.
