Even though I marked them as archived, the import tool prevented me from loading the full database because the total number of users was above the number our account is signed up for (500 users).  Its not a big deal though--we have several users in that number that don't have email addresses, so the ...

It sounds like you have an old Excel version. You need Excel 2003 or newer to open our export file.

For the moment, the only workaround is to enter 'dummy' emails for people who do not have emails. For example, you can set them to noemail1@email.com, noemail2@email.com or something along these lines.

Are you talking about importing these contacts or adding them by hand?

Thanks for lettings us know. We have reproduced a problem with your error template and will look into this ASAP. Re 2) - moving info from the old field into a new field sounds like a very smart idea, should work fine. 

(just in case - check out Import Guide ) Hmm... Never came across this happening...  Can you please describe in more details like ''I do this, I click on this, this is what happens etc..''? What is your platform? Worst case we can at least download and email it to you, let us know. 

We run export, copy-pasted CNT member to all records and imported back - it seemed to work fine, no problems. The only warning file had was about password, which is fine (we actually need to reword this since these are not actually errors, just notices/warnings!) Let me know if you have any further troubles doing similar things via export/import ...

Membership category - do you mean Member level or something else? One idea is to re-check the spelling: create a few member records by hand with the appropriate levels and then in the export file you can copy-paste from these dummy records into the ones you want to update.
