Website Widgets
Add Powerful Membership Management to your website
Website widgets: cute name, but what are they, and how can you use them to provide better service to your members and supporters?
A widget - aka plugin - is a chunk of Wild Apricot functionality that you can embed - or integrate - into another website. For example, you may want to display the event calendar on another site that does not support event registration.
When you embed a widget, Wild Apricot acts as the backend - an invisible provider of interactive functionality for your other website. You can customize your widgets to use colors and styles to match your existing website, so your website visitors can join your organization, pay dues, update contact details, donate, or register for events online at any time, without having to leave your main website.
So, what can you do with widgets?
Online Membership Application Forms
Display a form to collect new member registration information and process online payments.
Embed a searchable membership directory that displays according to the settings you specify in your Wild Apricot database. The directory will stay up-to-date as you edit your membership, or members change their preference through online self-service.
Display your full events calendar or event list. Visitors can proceed to the details page for a particular event.
Subscription forms, discussion forums, and more
There are a variety of widgets available in Wild Apricot. You can embed a blog, discussion forums for members, subscription forms that add new subscribers to your Wild Apricot contact database, donation forms, and more. Just copy/paste the relevant code where you’d like your widget displayed.
