I am attempting to change the way the public see Membership level. I do not want them to see what of membership consultants have and was wondering how to remove this option from the view page?

I'm not quite sure what it is you want to hide. To hide just the membership level you have to use CSS customization, see hiding member level thread. Each member can change the rest of his/her profile access settings via view profile link, and the administrator can also edit each record and change the profile access settings.
