    Multiple Payment Accounts

Is it possible to permit multiple payment accounts for accepting event registrations? Some organizations have Member Groups who maintain separate receivable accounts (and have different paypal accounts) and with a volunteer organization, there aren't sufficient human resources for redistributing funds among the Member Groups' accounts. If you cannot permit multiple account profiles for payment, can you help by suggesting a way to address this issue in the Wild Apricot admin?

No, it is not possible currently to permit multiple payments for a single event registration (or even a single organization).

Did I understand properly that depending on membership level of event registrant payment has to come to different paypal account?

    Re: Multiple Payment Accounts

Not exactly, its more about the event and which Member Group (Chapter) is hosting the event. So, for example, the MAIN ORGANIZATION is made up of CHAPTERS (and individuals too of course). Chapter A hosts event A. Chapter B hosts event B. Chapter A has its own bank account and therefore, wants the event registration money to go to the Chapter A's account, not the main org's account. Therefore, it would be helpful to have a way to simply link have a choice in the admin for payment options whereby the admin gets to specify which Paypal account is used for which Event....or donation type. That would be handy. Make sense? Still not possible? Just to be clear, I was not thinking of having multiple accounts for ONE event, rather, multiple accounts to handle different events.

    Re: Multiple Payment Accounts

Understood. This is not something Wild Apricot supports now :-(

We do have plans for many enhancements for multi-chapter organizations but these are about a year out.

For now the only work around I can think of is to open separate WA accounts for each chapter - and then you can also have a WA account for the umbrella organizations where you can e.g. have a page with a list and links to all chapter events.

    Re: Multiple Payment Accounts

Separate WA accounts would be costly to the volunteer groups whose by-laws prevent the choice of a "free" account. What about an option to have registration that DOES NOT require online payment through the default Paypal account...i.e., they register in WA, but receive a "confirmation email" with the link to the actual paypal account. Can you provide a "paying registration" vs. "placeholding registration" setup option?

    Re: Multiple Payment Accounts

There is no functionality which would directly support this approach :-(

You can switch off online payments altogether - and use Payment instructions field (which is defined in each event) to provide event-specific payment instructions. This means that each registration would come in as "pending" (registered but not paid) and you would manually change its status to confirmed when you see the incoming payment.
