Could you give me more details about what default settings you need...
As I understand you need your member directory to have advanced search as a default view, instead of keyword search. Is this correct?
Go to Web pages / click on member directory / click on 'Edit settings' button. Under Display options / Default view / select advanced search.

I have already set up my Member directory to default to advanced search.  When advanced search comes up it automatically has Name come up in criteria.  I need Member Category as my default.  I would also like a specific member category to be automatically checked.

My Membership directory consist of different types of Arboriculture companies.  When a consumer is on our web site I need them to have the ability to click on the type of company they are looking for (In the side Menu) and the information comes up automatically.

 I hope this makes sense.

There is no option for this right now but I will forward this to our development team for evaluation.

My Members really liked this feature on my old web site.  I was hoping to have it resolved 

prior to launching this site, but I did not realize until Wednesday that it wasn't working.

 Your request is quite clear and we do have some enhancements planned for Member directory which should address this need. (You will see some steps we are making in our next update Feb 6 - 'saved searches')

But unfortunately it will take some time as we more along our list of priorities - probably 2-3 months.
 

Is there anyway I can utilize the database to create different pages for my membership database?

(Though I suspect this would not be possible)
