Is the new blog feature something we can provide to each member or is it one blog for the site?

It sounds like two questions.

1) We do plan to allow multiple blogs later on

2) Right now only site admins can post in the blog but we do plan to add capability for members to create post.

Looks like WA has enabled posting by non-admins. When can we expect multiple blog capability? This would be an extremely helpful feature especially when coupled with the fine grained member DB we hope to build.

In a couple of releases.

In new version this Wed Sep 12, 2007 we have added ability to add multiple functional pages which properly works for events (so that you can have multiple differently filtered event lists). Now we are working to enable multiple member directories and blog pages.

could I assign certain membership groups an own per-member blog page?

Gee, this thread is pretty old. Multiple blog pages have been released a while ago. I am not 100% sure what you meant by your question but you can setup separate blogs for various member levels.
