I have found that people who signed up for automatic membership renewal (recurring payments) when our membership fee was lower are still being charged that lower price for renewal. How do we change this?

If you are using PayPal then unfortunately there is no way to change this. You would have to cancel the original recurring profile in your PayPal account and then ask your member to subscribe with a new price.
If you are using Authorize.net then you do not have to do anything, new membership price will be charged automatically.
