    Manual Event Attendee Additions (Public)

    Dmitry,

Your capability is great!  Please don't take my numerous questions and suggestions as negative.  I'm now setting up 3 Wild Apricot sites: one free, one personal and one group for the various not-for-profit organization websites I've been managing.  The free one is working like a charm and the others are in process.  Your response to user suggestions is fantastic.

Question 1: Is there an easy way to add an event attendee who is not a member to an event?  Am I missing something obvious?  For the Group website - which we hope to take prime time in a week or so, we will allow our members and guests (non-members) to mail in registration forms with checks in addition to online registration using PayPal.  It's easy to manually add a member registration from the member list but I can't find anyway to do something similar for a non-member (or even create a non-member event attendee).

So for now with the non-member attendees we are thinking we will need to:

    1. Separately sign up each non-member attendee that mailed a check, and then close the PayPal window before making payment.
    2. Sign in and set status from pending to confirmed.

Problems are: the time it takes, payment method listed as online when it isn't, and it's cluggy.

Question 2:  As long as I'm asking - What about adding donors that submitted donations via check?

    Any suggestions?

    Liz

    Liz,

We always appreciate questions and suggestions! That's the only way we can keep improving the system - no system is ever perfect.

Re 1: There is no other way now to do it besides what you have figured out already yourself. I will add it to our list to analyze possible enhancements.

Re 2: Same thing - you would have to log out, use online form and not proceed with Paypal.

I know, this is a bit awkward and I am sure we will find ways to make it faster/more convenient.
