Make "Organization" field optional

    Make "Organization" field optional

    There's a system field called Organization in the database that is a required field.  I am not sure what this is for, but can it be made optional so that I can delete it if I want?  I don't need this field, but right now it still shows up on my Membership Application and the members have to put something in it.  It doesn't make sense to them and is confusing.  Or allow me to specify a default value so they don't need to mess with it.

    Hi Kim,

    Yes, this is a legacy from some initial design decisions. We are working on an overhaul of the database which will take care of this among other things - but unfortunately it will take us a while and we do not have a quick fix for this right now.

    This field can be made optional now or hidden altogether.
