Paid Member is not activated automatically

    Paid Member is not activated automatically

    Today we have a member ( ID 374390) registered and paid by PayPal. We have confirmed that the payment has been received. We also received email confirmation saying that the membership status is active. However, this member is actually still in "Pending New" and not showing in the member directory. We have to approve it manually. (We set up auto approval after the receipt of payment)

    Can you check this issue for us ASAP?

    This email is just the regular activation email which has been preset in out WA account. Every member will receive it when they register the membership and the membership statue is active.

    You can check our WA account for the details. The point is that both administrator and member received this activation email but this member's status is still Pending New - we have to approve it manually and it was supposed to set as ACTIVE automatically since we have receive the payment by PayPal.

    Can you check our WA account?

    Sorry, our mistake. We double checked the email we received. We didn't receive Member Activation Email. We only received Application Initiation email.

    However, this member ( ID 374390 ) made a payment by PayPal and we did received the payment. But this member's status was still "Pending New" instead of "Active".

    It should be "Active" since we preset it to be "Active On successful processing of the application and payment".

    Can you check why  this happened?

    It appears that this member was trying to make the payment for few days (from 2nd to 4th) and only on fifth try the payment was successful. But unfortunately paypal did not send any payment confirmation back to you. This does happen time to time, unfortunately we do not have control over paypal.

    Today we had another paid member (ID 434481) was not activated automatically after we received the payment by PayPal. We received activation email saying that the account has be activated but actually it wasn't. After we manually activated it we received another email saying that the account has been activated.

    Can you check that for us?

    Yes, we have a confirmed bug and it is scheduled to be fixed in our next version release.
