    Saving multiple page versions

    Current behavior:
When webpage is edited, there is only one previous version stored (which can be restored using 'Undo' button on the toolbar)

    Desired behavior:
Store multiple previous versions of pages.  See who/when made edits. Make it possible to review any version and publish it replacing the most recent one. Ability to compare page version.

    Re: Saving multiple page versions

This is something that should go right to the top of the priority list.

There are times when I can't work on an entire page at one time. I would love to be able to have a draft version saved so that when it is perfected, we can publish it.

Additionally, this would allow several members to create content and the admin can publish the pages after they are checked.

    Thank you for suggesting this.

Good idea. Having a working copy available for internal review would be helpful.

This definitely needs to go to the top of the list!!!  I would love to be able to control administrator permissions, like the $50 plan offers, and only allow certain individuals to have access to the webpage design features, but my non-profit is small and we can't afford that price.  Having the ability to revert the page back to a prior version would greatly put my mind at ease... I think I would sleep better knowing that if I give my treasurer administrative (rights so that she can keep track of membership payments) and she got ambitious and changed any of my slaved-over webpages, that I could put them back exactly the way I had them!

    Re: Saving multiple page versions

An example of a well meaning volunteer messing things up -
    (and I have admin permissions)

I lost my home page yesterday . . . the person editing another page somehow copied that html over the home page html and put 2 copies of their page on the website - no copy of the home page.  Clicking the website url took you to that page instead of the home page.

Fortunately I had an html file from when I was developing the home page - I know there have been online changes since then, but at least it gives me a starting point.  (She had edited it after installing it, so undo was no good.)

If the person's permissions concentrated them on their area only, they would not have been able to do it.

If we had the ability to rollback, I would have been able to just reinstate.
