    Filter attendees by selected options

    Current behavior:
    Event registration forms can be customized with additional fields, including multiple choice options. These are commonly used to track meal preferences, register for specific event sessions and optional activities. Right now selected options can only be viewed in individual registrations - or by exporting the whole list and filtering it in Excel.

    Desired behavior:
    Ability to filter event attendee list by a specific option in one of the custom fields. Once filtered, common functionality of exporting or emailing should be available

    Event management for us entails more than tracking payment, however our registration coordinators do not have the time or confidence to jump through the hoops required to learn how to import/export and manipulated the data between WA and other software.

    We need to be able to sort through and use information gathered from all registration fields quickly and easily. Without this functionality, our organization is likely to look for another service.

    For example, we may need to quickly determine how many attendees to plan on seating at lunch and to tell the hotel about how many of those require a vegetarian meal.

    At the end of the conference we need to be able to quickly sort fields and produce reports with information such as  how many attendees were members, how many came from a certain city and how many had been to a previous conference.

     An easy to-use interface such as that at Eventbrite is what we are looking for (but we also need it to integrate with our membership database, something I will address in another post.)

    Yes, I would love this feature.  My company would like to utilize the events module as a travel database for our members.  Reporting would be crucial.  BIG VOTE FROM ME!!

    This sounds like it might be the next best thing to allowing attendees to register for multiple events at one time. If I understand what's being proposed, this would allow admins to generate lists of registrants for individual options, which would be GREAT. It would still be helpful to be able to limit the number of registrations for individual options, but it sounds as though this would allow us to more easily monitor registrations for each option and remove the option from the form or substitute a waiting list option once the limit had been reached.
