This would be very useful to us. We have an industry news page that is comprised of blog postings. The ability to have a summary on home page would be great. What would be even better is the ability to assemble different summary blocks (e.g. events calendar, blog/news items) into an email format that could be sent as a newsletter. Even better if the blocks could be pasted into other mail programs, for those of us who have non-member mailing lists housed in other locations
Specifically, I would like to be able to create a home page that, for our organization, would contain the following:
A block with a summary of all relevant Industry News (i.e. blog) titles only. Links from the titles would open each article. If there were more than one blog page, we could put the summary of each on the same page. We should have the ability to select the range of posting titles to present (ie all new postings in the last week, month, date range, etc.)
A block with a summary of upcoming event titles only, as links to the actual event listing. Should be able to select events by date range etc.
A block with a summary of new Forum posts.
It would be good to be able to arrange these blocks on a page and format their appearance.
