    Dynamic (flyout) menu

    Current behavior:
To view sub-pages (children pages) of a given page, it is currently necessary to click on it in the menu to load the page and display all its children pages in the menu.

    Desired behavior:
Ability to mouse-over a page in the menu to see its children - without loading it.

    Notes:
This should be designed to work with both vertical and horizontal menus.

    Re: Dynamic (flyout) menu

We would like to have this feature.

Also can we have the option to just list the sub-pages under the parent-page directly instead of only mouse-over? We want both options. It is more flexible for different web page design and navigation.

    Re: Dynamic (flyout) menu

    Actually we would love to have a web page design with both horizontal and vertical menus;

and both horizontal and vertical menus can be Dynamic (flyout) manus. That will be perfect.

Looks like this is on the list 2x - once here and once under horizontal menus?

    Re: Dynamic (flyout) menu

Yes, but in theory we can start by implementing one or the other.

    Re: Dynamic (flyout) menu

This would be a much more elegant and attractive option.

    Re: Dynamic (flyout) menu

This would help us out a lot to, and give the site a more up-to-date look.  So, another vote for mouse-over submenu visibility.

    Re: Dynamic (flyout) menu

I would like this feature too!  I think it will make my menu bar look much more professional and will save my users the step of clicking on the page to see if there are any sub-pages.  Any chance this could be in the next update?

    Re: Dynamic (flyout) menu

Adding dynamic menu functionality would make the navigation far more intuitive especially for non-member visitors who are unfamiliar with the site

    Re: Dynamic (flyout) menu

I don't know if this is the suggestion but hope so. It would be great to get so you can have tear 1 pages on both the top and side of the website so you can have split topics along both which means that the website does not become so cultered.

Also having the sign in box at the top right of the page makes it easier to always see where to sign in no matter how many topics you have down the side. So having the sign in box at the top right of all designs instead of just some would be reall helpful.

    RE THE DECEMBER CHANGES -

I've got www.WireJewelryArtists.org and I have apparently built from one of the 2 basic templates that you have altered to include dynamic flyouts.

Here's some of the text in my "view source" -

    'Theme106336508108396488010'
    "/App_Themes/Shared/css/basic.css?2.37.10"
    "/App_Themes/Theme10/css/theme.css?2.37.10"
    "/resources/theme/user.css?t=6336508108396488012.37.10"

My public/member pages have not changed any, as I have the lower levels hidden still.  I'm not sure if I should play and see how the flyouts work on a horizontal lay out or not . . .

BUT - my admin pages are still vertical, and I'm seeing an impact there for sure.  Used to be that all the pages were visible just by looking.  Now only the top levels are visible and there is an arrow to the right side that lets you know there is more there to see by clicking.  OK - but it was almost easier to be able to see everything just by scrolling down.  HOWEVER, on the invisible pages and on the restricted pages, the invisible/lock icon(s) sit directly over the arrow and there is no way for a new comer to know that there is more there.  You just have to click and see if anything opens up.

I expect that I can go in and make some changes via my CSS, but thought the arrows under the icons might impact everyone and not just my highly customized layout.
