    Paypal autoreturn

When using the Member Application or Donation widgets, after payment is sent through Paypal the user appears to be redirected to a standard Wild Apricot "Thank You" page:

     http://bpaa.roundtablelive.org/default.aspx?pageid=77771&operationId=1d1c1b89-95e6-4889-af44-0af0f2146e3b

This will be confusing for users as the domain is different than where they started. Desired behavior would be to redirect to a page set in Paypal Website payment preferences (Auto Return URL). Is this possible to configure?

We agree, this is confusing. As a result we have added this issue to our to-do list. Unfortunately there is no configuration or workaround at this moment.

Thanks.  When do you expect the issue to be fixed?

    Re: Paypal autoreturn

We do have it in our plans but I cannot provide any specific time line at this time, my best tentative guess is Q3-4.

While waiting for this fix, do you have any suggestions on a workaround so that users aren't unexpectedly redirected to an unfamiliar site?  I'm not sure what to do at this point other than remove the capability to accept membership payments and donations online.

    Re: Paypal autoreturn

Our tech team thinks the following workaround is possible:

You can write a piece of Javascript code and insert it into WA site which will check its current URL for the string 'widget' and if not found (meaning that user ended up opening WA site in full screen instead of widget mode), automatically redirect to your main site.

In this way user will be redirected from paypal to WA site and then immediately to your site. WA site will still blink for a second but should not be too bad.

I hope this helps. If you need help with this code, let us know.
