    Payments and such

Hi guys.  Looks like you are really new.

The 2 features that I think are needed for this software to rock will be:

    1) Payment Gateway.  I would like to see the system to have the ability to accept a current merchant processing account, meaning they already accept credit cards, and the ability to use a system delivered by you.  PayPal of course as you will be asked for it.  If you need assistance with that part of the system send me an e-mail and I can walk you through all the stuff you will need to know.

    2) The ability to capture Credit Card information for offline processing.  Yes, it will need an SSL cert and the ability to hold information encrypted.

    Those are my initial suggestions.

    Cheers!

    Re: Payments and such

Hi, thanks for you input, really appreciated.

Yes, the product is very new - we just launched on July 1st. (Though we have 5 years behind us building such systems as custom projects for megabucks :-) )

    1) PayPal implementation is on the way, should be release by early August.
We are also considering GoogleCheckout, InternetSecure, IATS and others.

    2) Understand the idea but we probably would not tackle it - at least not in the short term. To make it both user-friendly and totally secure is very hard (also the issue with liability and risks if we store credit card numbers).

Multiple Payment accounts would be good too. I posted this in questions, but wanted to add it here for the record. An umbrella organizations may have "chapters" that join it. Without centralized accounts, multiple payment path options would be good. If Paypal offers such things, notes on how to configure would be helpful.

Most of the items discussed are available now or there are separate threads.
