Do you get some of your best blog ideas when you’re away from your computer? Try audio blogging: Speak your piece, grab a quick interview, or capture the vibes of a live event with your mobile phone — then quickly post the audio online to share with your organization's members and supporters.
AudioBoo.fm is just one of a number of nifty little free iPhone app available. It's made for iPhone users, of course, but it will work from other phones as well (including land lines) for the price of a UK phone call. Share your
audio by copy-pasting a snippet of HTML code on your blog or
website, post automatically to your social networks, or click to share a link on Twitter or Facebook from the AudioBoo website.
For example, here is Ted Nguyen’s AudioBoo chat with Ross Teasley of O C Good,
“a group of energetic, committed, service-minded Internet professionals
in Orange County California who volunteer services to struggling
non-profits in our communities” that is set to launch in January 2010.
Each audio post has its own page on the AudioBoo site, where
you can search by tag/keyword for other “boos” of interest, check out
the profiles of the site members who create the content, and comment,
tweet or share on Facebook. Geo-location data from the iPhone is used
to create a map showing precisely where the audio was recorded.

And for other mobile audio blogging options, would-be phonecasters might want to check out Tumblr’s iPhone app and call-in audio feature (via a toll-free number), and ipadio for both iPhone and Android…
