If Yahoo Search is your search engine of choice, you may have noticed a new feature recently. Yahoo Search Pad kicks in automatically when the engine detects a pattern of search that suggests you're researching a specific topic, and unobtrusively tracks the sites that you visit.
While it's no substitute for a full-blown research aide like Evernote, Yahoo Search Pad is certainly one step above your browser History. It grabs a screenshot of each site, to make it easier to identify the sites you want to revisit, and you can add your own notes as well — drag-and-drop functionality makes it easy to edit and organize your notes right in the Search Pad interface. The best feature? When you copy and paste content from a website into your Search Pad notes, it automatically adds the attribution so you'll remember where you found the information.
