Wild Apricot Blog is pleased to host the next edition of the
NonProfit Blog Carnival, a round-up of the month’s best blog posts for
non-profits. This month’s topic? Non-profit Technology, of course! Deadline for submissions is June 26, and the Carnival round-up will be published on June 30.
This is a chance to showcase your recent blog posts about:
- Case studies;
- Best practices;
- Opinions and Editorials;
- Tutorials and “How to” guides;
- Low-cost or free web-based or desktop tools;
- Best web resources for non-profit staff and volunteers;
- Experiences in building an online community of supporters, or using social media and social networks for fundraising;
... and anything else that might fall under the heading of “non-profit technology.”
If you’re not sure your post is a prefect fit — go ahead, submit your post to the NonProfit Blog Carnival anyway! We’re going to paint this topic with a fairly broad brush, to be as inclusive as possible. After all, information wants to be shared!
About the Carnival
The Nonprofit Blog Carnival (formerly the Blog Carnival of Nonprofit
Consultants) is a collection of the best advice and resources that
consultants, support organizations, and nonprofits themselves are
offering to the nonprofit community through their blogs. Kivi Leroux Miller of Nonprofit Communications
is the founder and coordinator, and the Carnival itself rotates around
different “host” blogs from month to month.
If you’d like to be
notified automatically when a new edition has been posted, subscribe to the Carnival Feed. If you are interested in hosting an edition of the Carnival on your blog, please put your name on Kivi’s mailing list to be sure you get her future requests for a host.
And if you’d like to submit your posts to the Nonprofit Blog Carnival, there are two easy ways to do it: Use the form at BlogCarnival.com, or send an email to nonprofitcarnival (at) gmail.com with your name, your blog’s name, and the URL of the post you’d like to have considered for the carnival.
Deadline for submissions is Friday, June 26.
Over the following weekend, I'll read every single submission — yes, really— and select the most interesting and useful
to share here at the Wild Apricot Blog on Tuesday, June 30.
What’s in it for you?
Entering a blog carnival is, quite frankly, one of the quickest and easiest ways methods to bring new traffic to your blog and help raise its online profile. Not every post can make it into the Carnival each month, of course,
but there’s a good chance of putting your blog in front of new readers if your
post is selected. A backlink to your blog post won't hurt with the search engines, either!
To recap:
- Choose your best recent blog post about any topic related to technology and non-profit organizations.
- Fill out the form at http://blogcarnival.com/bc/submit_318.html — or email your details to to nonprofitcarnival (at) gmail.com
- Do it before end-of-day on Friday, June 26.
It’s just that easy.
Drop a note in the commments if you’ve got any questions, and let’s get those nonprofit-technology blog posts rolling in!
