Two new Wild Apricot releases with many new features

Keeping up our development pace, two new versions of Wild Apricot (2.25 and 2.26) were released in the last few weeks. (We typically update the system every 3-4 weeks so please keep your feedback coming - it is critically important for us to know what is missing / not working well for you so that we can appropriately prioritize our very long list of planned enhancements!)

Here's a quick overview of key changes (read more on our Wild Apricot release history page):

Member Directory Customization

Customization of member directory. Now you can setup multiple member directory webpages and for each one select fields to be displayed in each column, column widths etc.

Calendar view of events

Now your events can be displayed and browsed via web page with a monthly, weekly or annual calendar like this:

Log of sent emails

You can now see the list and details of all the manually sent emails - newsletters to your members, messages to event registrants etc:

This also means that you can now simply create a new message using an earlier sent email as a template - instead of starting from scratch:

Multiple blog pages

You can create as many blog pages as you want - each page will have its own posts and a separate RSS feed. For example, you can create a public blog as well as a private member-only blog.

Discussion forum module

We've also enhanced our discussion forum module creating as many discussion forums, topics within each forum so that your members can engage in the dialog.

Group membership levels

With this new feature, you can use group membership levels for families, corporate members or chapters within your regional or national organization. You can limit how many members are in the group. Each group has a dedicated group administrator who can manage members within his/her own group.

We also have a number of other improvements including:

  • Speed improvements in member directory, page editing
  • You can now change the reply email address for each mail blast (mass email)
  • Administrators have the option to switch off all emails to a given member (email blasts and all automatic emails)
  • More renewal period options for members (monthly. quarterly, 6 months). Automatic recurring payments will be coming in early December
  • If a member initiates an upgrade or renewal but does not complete online payment on the first try, he/she can now cancel and retry without having to involve the administrator
  • As well as across the board usability improvements, enhancements and bug fixes
