Two new versions of Wild Apricot, 2.22 and 2.23 have been recently released. Here's a quick overview of key new features and changes: (you can read more on our Wild Apricot release history page):
Payments report for donations, event registrations, member applications, upgrades and renewals
Payments report has been released - it provides a summary of event registrations, new, renewed and upgraded memberships as well as donations. Let us know how it works for you as we are already designing further enhancements to it and your feedback will be very valuable. Between this report and the Payments transactions log we hope it will become much easier to do financial reconciliations with your credit card payments and other receipts.

Payment workflow and payment transactions log redesigned
In the past, you had to choose whether people would pay you online - or manually (mail-in checks etc.). A couple of releases ago we have enabled using both methods at the same time - so you can give your users a choice of paying online or manually - for each transaction.

In the latest release we have redesigned the payment workflow to match these changes. Now you can properly track the origin and payment status of each transaction, record manual payments and process cancellations.

Show/hide events (similar to making web pages invisible)
We have added the same capability to events as we had for web pages for a while - you can now keep an event 'invisible' meaning that only the administrator(s) can access it until it is fully set up.

Blog module
Blog module has been enhanced with the ability to set permissions for each member level and allow members to create new posts (in addition to replies/comments as before). With this change Blog module does essentially all the same functions a discussion forum does - so you might consider using it as a forum. Now in one of the next few releases we plan to add a proper discussion forum module which will leverage the underlying functions already available in the blog module

Wild Apricot widgets
The biggest new function we have released is Wild Apricot widgets. Now you can use Wild Apricot as your back-end system and embed any interactive function into any other website you want - for example a member application form, member directory, member self-service, event registration, donation form. Many of you who use Wild Apricot as a secondary website have been asking for this capability so we hope this will be useful and are looking forward to hear from you.

Insert table wizard
Table wizard has been added to the website content management system.

Member directory
Many other minor improvements and enhancements include default view settings for member directory (keyword/advanced search)

Member ID
A unique member ID is now shown on member profile for admin and exported to Excel file.

Event categories (tags, labels)
Now you can assign categories to your events and then easily search through the events in the future as well create multiple event list pages with different selections of event lists. For example, you can have a separate page with 'Social events' and another one for 'Learning events' - as well as a page for all events and one for past (archived) events.

Content pages vs. functional pages
You always had the ability to add unlimited content pages to your Wild Apricot website - but all interactive pages (such as online member application form, member directory) were added automatically to your account. Now you can add and delete these pages just like content pages. This means that you can add multiple event list pages, application forms, member directories etc.

Event registration types
Event registration has become much more flexible. A new concept of 'registration types' is introduced - analogous to ticket types. This means that you can sell 'general tickets' to the public for $20, 'first row seats' for $30 to the public and 'special member tickets' for $10 only to members. You can also now use cut-off registration dates and early-bird pricing.

Domain management
Self-service custom domain management has been added - you are free to add your custom domain name at any time.

As always, if you have any feedback or want to contribute to ongoing design and development, please keep it coming - via forum or email.
