Member-only webpages

Many organizations find that one important way to attract and keep members is to provide them with valuable content. Industry research, whitepapers, how-to guides, checklists, electronic versions of presentations from their events are the most common examples of such content. Of course, these documents have to be of high quality and be of use to your members - or they would feel disappointed.

Let's assume that you have some good materials. How do you make them easily accessible to your members - and to members only?

Our latest update provides this functionality. Here is how it works:

1) When logged in into your Wild Apricot account you will see a new page called " Member-only section" - with a lock icon. You can rename, edit and move this page like any other webpage in your Wild Apricot website.

This page will be invisible to the public.

(In Settings / Customize membership levels you can define which levels should have access to member-only content.)

2) If you add new pages and make them subpages of "Member-only section" page , they will also display the lock icon and become accessible only to members.

3) Only after a site visitors logs in with proper member credentials, will the member-only pages be displayed in the website menu:

(And if a visitor follows a direct link to a member-only page, the system will require to login to access it).

Emailing event attendees

Another common need we have addressed in this release is contacting people who have registered for your event. Let's say you had to change the location at the last minute - or start 1 hour earlier. Now Wild Apricot can help you save time contacting all the people who have already registered:

Go to event list, find the event in question, go into event details

Switch to Attendees tab

Use [E-mail attendees] button

Now you can edit your message, preview, send a test copy to yourself - and then send it to all registered event attendees:

(This works in a very similar way to the Member emailings feature which allows you to email all or some of your members)

Support for Internet Explorer 7

As you might know, Microsoft has just released Internet Explorer 7 a week ago. We have tested Wild Apricot and made some changes to ensure that the system works correctly in the new browser.
