Donations, billable accounts, more themes (templates)

Last week we have completed development work on our latest release and will be updating Wild Apricot system in the next few days!

Here are the major changes:

  1. Donations module.
You will notice a new menu item in the administration menu - Donations - and a public webpage for Online donations (it is invisible by default so you will need to switch it on).

This is our first big step in tailoring Wild Apricot system for charities and similar organizations. We have many more ideas and plans - and would greatly appreciate your input - what are the most important things we should focus on to help charitable organizations to save more time and raise more funds by using Wild Apricot?
  2. Paid accounts.
With the new release, our current "beta" accounts will no longer be available and we will offer free (Ad-supported) accounts and three tiers of premium (paid) accounts: Premium 200 ($50/month), Premium 1000 ($100/month), Premium Unlimited ($200/month).
Account tiers are defined by the maximum number of contacts (currently calculated as the total number of members plus donors) in your database. Paid accounts will also have access to some additional functionality (using your own domain name, emailings to members etc.).
All existing free accounts will be converted into the Premium plan with 45 days trial period so you can check it out and chose whether to use a paid plan - or stick with a free one.
  3. Additional themes (templates) - Modern Red and Bubbles Red:

You can try these new themes for your Wild Apricot website - all your content will stay the same and you can go back to your current theme anytime. Themes are changed via Settings/Visual look and feel/Visual theme.
(And remember that if you need a custom theme/template, we can help you with that! )

As always - there were many small improvements and bug fixes all around: in PayPal integration, in email code,  handling member renewals and lapsed membership.

We are not sitting on our hands - the work is already underway on our next release - which is planned to bring multi-level pages, member-only content, system dashboard and other important features. As always - your feedback is appreciated via email, our toll-free number or into our Discussion forums.
