The Northern Virginia Area Health Education Center (NV AHEC), a nonprofit providing language services-translation and interpretation-to D.C. area hospitals, schools and human services agencies, was pressed for resources to help with
event management. So they turned to Wild Apricot to handle their
online event registration.
Mary Ellen Hickman, a marketing strategist brought in to help promote and manage events for NV AHEC, recommended using Wild Apricot to ease tasks such as accepting online event payments. "It saved hours in time and money," she said. Hickman also pointed out that organizations "don't need a technology expert - anyone who knows Microsoft Word can become experts at Wild Apricot's platform in just a few hours."
Using this software, staff members have increased their efficiency dramatically and returned their focus to their mission: helping to bridge the language gaps between doctors and patients, teachers and students and other service providers and their clients. "Wild Apricot speaks our language when it comes to saving time and money," says Hickman, "And it's one of the best investments NV AHEC has made."
