Case Study: Creating Membership Websites for the Association of Women Entrepreneurs

When life coach Tera McHugh moved to Southern California, she wanted to find a professional association that would allow her to network with like-minded women.  When she couldn't find an organization that met her needs, she launched her own -- the Association of Women Entrepreneurs, a group that quickly grew from a small gathering of 12 women to 130 within less that a year.  Like many small organizations that need a website builder and help with membership and event management, she began the search for a system that would meet her needs.  When she discovered Wild Apricot, she realized that it could help her to maintain her local group, but also help to grow her organization nationally.

With the goal of adding ten new chapters per quarter, each with their own membership websites, Tera is using Wild Apricot to simplify the process of getting each new group up and running. "Wild Apricot is not just serving as the template for all of the web sites serving each group," she says. "I am also using the technology as my training resource for the group leaders."

Wild Apricot has helped Tera streamline the association management tasks for all her groups.  "I love what Wild Apricot has done for the Association of Women Entrepreneurs," she says. "That's why I’m such a big fan."
