Non-profits are not like businesses

Wild Apricot InfoZone
For consultants to the non-profit sector
At Wild Apricot, our focus is to build the best possible websites for non-profit organizations. We have been gathering input from consultants and designers that specialize in the non-profit sector to improve our site. But we're not done yet, so please keep your suggestions coming. We will be implementing features specifically designed to benefit your clients.
Making it easier for you to import and export your contact list
Since the introduction of the customized member database, some users have been having difficulties importing their current contact lists and taking advantage of the custom fields feature. In order to rectify this, we have redesigned this function to make it easier for you to import and export your contact list. We invite you to try it out now.
For those of you who need to make mass updates to your contact list, the improved import/export feature will now allow you to do this without difficulty. You can easily export your contact list to Microsoft Excel, make the necessary changes, and then import it right back.
New reports to save you time!
We currently have event payment reports provide a summary and a breakdown by member level for event registration counts and fees. However we are working on a comprehensive monthly payment report which would provide a full list of payments for everything from member dues, to donations and event registration fees. This new report will make it even easier for you to keep track of your non-profit organization's member finances.
Let us know what other reports you would like to see in Wild Apricot: email us at support@wildapricot.com
Cool features you can use, coming soon
We greatly appreciate all the ideas and feedback we are receiving - and you can be sure that we are hard at work designing and building enhancements to address your suggestions. Here are some of the things that will become available to you on your Wild Apricot site in the near future.
- Increased flexibility to customize your Wild Apricot website (colors, text styles, header images etc.)
- Advanced member database search (including custom fields)
- Customization of emails sent out to confirm donations, event registrations, and member applications
- Full automation of the member renewal process (automatic reminders, change of member status if not renewed on time, etc.)
- Page templates with commonly used layouts for multi-column pages, nicely formatted lists and more
- The ability to add text to automatically generated pages such as member registration, online donation, etc.
- Customizing event registration form - in the same way you can now customize member database fields
- Customizability of event registration form
- Monthly payment report which would summarize all member payments (member dues, donations and event registration fees)

"In the past, we had been using e-mail and manually processed guest registrations for our annual summit. This year we decided to try out Wild Apricot to handle the hassle of event registrations. I'm no computer whiz, just your average Microsoft Word user, but I found it extremely easy and user-friendly. Most importantly, I spent 50% less time this year getting everyone registered compared to previous years."
