8 Tips for an Effective Online Survey
Your organization may already send out a feedback request with its appeals or reports to members. And perhaps you routinely ask those who attend your special events to fill out a quick survey. But if you need data quickly, or from a broader range of respondents, why not consider an online poll or survey? Here are 8 quick tips to help you get started.

NonProfits on Video: Using YouTube to Promote Your Cause
Conventional wisdom says that it is the small nonprofit organizations who stand most to benefit from Web 2.0 opportunities, where so much can be accomplished for such a small investment of time and resources. Online video, for example, puts multimedia broadcasting into the hands of organizations that could never afford to buy television air time. There's no charge to post an unlimited number of video on YouTube, and a camera and computer are all the gear you need to get started. But is online video-sharing really a useful communication tool for spreading your nonprofit's message?

Producing Demo Videos - Sharing Our Experiences
We have recently put together the first 5 videos demonstrating the basic functionality of Wild Apricot software. This has been a great learning experience and we would appreciate any feedback on our videos (which are still work in progress!). Wild Apricot Updates and Plans
There haven't been many April showers, but a lot of flowers have bloomed as Wild Apricot keeps evolving in response to your feedback. Our early April release included:
- Specify different fields to be used for different membership levels. This was a frequently requested enhancement and we are very happy about delivering it! Now, you can set up basic contacts like 'Friends and supporters' to store only name/email, for example, and regular members to store name/email/industry/postal address.
- Renewal emails (which go out automatically when a membership is renewed by the member or administrator) can now be customized.
- Member ID field - a unique identifier for each member, searchable by administrators - is now displayed to each member in his profile.
- Changes made to your site's look and feel, using the 'Customize colors and styles' function, are now immediately reflected in the site preview, without the need to reload the page.
